Discover our Community Partners!

Updated: Jan 26

Collaborative Arts partners with artist and local organizations and institutions to bring creativity to public spaces. Through providing funding, project management, creative collaboration, media production, fabrication and installation, and event production services, Collaborative Arts has helped to support and bring attention to public artists and good causes in the City of Richmond since 2022.

Check out the links below to learn about some of the amazing partners we have been fortunate to work with over the last several years.

Mending Walls

Richmond based mural arts project and Collaborative Arts project partner for a 400ft mural at historic Richmond Hill that brought together multiple painters, volunteers, and local organizations to breath new life into a community space overlooking Richmond's East End.

All City Art Club

An artistic collective of some of the region's most prolific muralist, painters, illustrators, and graffiti artists. All City Art Club and Collaborative Arts came together with the City of Richmond to create Richmond's only public outdoor skating rink. This project was host to a series of community skate nights featuring local DJs, lights, food carts, and skate rentals with proceeds going to fund City youth recreation programs.

LaRissa Rogers and Luis Vazquez La Roche - Operations of Care

This innovative collaborative sculptural monument brought together two visionary artists and practitioners, two arts organizations, and a community garden project to create, install, and carry out this artwork. This work combines historic building techniques and materials, a community garden, and a paid work program for recently incarcerated individuals to create a means for mutual community care and acts of compassion.

Sacred Ground Project

For over 20 years Sacred Ground Project and the Richmond Defenders have struggled to preserve historic Black spaces in the City of Richmond, while standing in solidarity for the greater good. Collaborative Arts is a proud partner of Sacred Ground providing creative media and event production services for the annual Gabriel Gathering in Richmond's Historic Shockoe Bottom.
